Our Lemurs ages range from 1 year old to 17 years old. They were rehomed in 2020 from a doctor in Naples that no longer wanted them. They were well taken care of, although in a very small area. They love all the room, with ropes and lots of toys and houses to relax in. They are very busy scooting around their enclosure. The lifespan of a Lemur under human care is about 30 years old, in the wild, about 20 years old. Being in the primate family, they also enjoy their tv.
Cady is a female tufted Capuchin Monkey born around 2011. She was left at our gate on Thanksgiving Day in 2014 when she was approximately 3 yrs old. Capuchins are one of the most intelligent of the primate species. She loves her blankets and will wrap up in them when she's cold. She has lots of toys and her tv to keep her busy and entertained. The average lifespan of the Capuchin in the wild is 25 yrs old, and under human care, they can live up to 45 yrs old.
Congo is a male Hamadryas Baboon born in 2002. He has been with us since 2014. Congo LOVES his tv, but becomes irritated if a program comes on he doesn't like. And he lets us know!! His favorite show is Bob Ross painting show and PBS cartoons. Congo is very smart and loves enrichment such as colorful bags of treats or cardboard tubes filled with healthy treats. Baboons life expectancy in the wild is 30 yrs, however, under human care they can live up to 45 yrs.
